I think your question is rhetorical, but I will answer any way to confirm what you already know.If the executives don't say or do anything they will be still be able to hold their positions, get great pay rises, bonuses, stock, and stock options every year.One would have to be out of his mind to admit incompetence, laziness, greed, carelessness, selfishness etc.
